My Expert Advice...

For the month of May, I am participating in the challenge proposed by the 'Story of My Life' blog. She wants us to blog everyday in May and gives us a topic for each day.

Today, I am supposed to give you all expert advice on something that I am knowledgeable about and I figured that there is nothing that I know best than how to be a good puppy mommy.

So here are all my top five tips for you puppy moms or expectant puppy mommy's.

1/ Make him do constant photo shoots when he clearly doesn't want to. He will thank you later for the adorable photos.

You get extra brownie points if you can incorporate costumes.

 

 

 

2/ Whenever he gives you this face....

give him whatever the hell he wants. 

That's just plain adorable.

3/ Let him give you puppy kisses whenever he wants.

 

4/ Be strict with rules like 'no puppies on the furniture' and 'no begging.'

5/ Take plenty of walks. 

Lots of walks with lots of sticks and lots of friends along the way.

So there are my five tips for you coming from me, clearly an expert. 

Also, I did just do a blog post with 19 photos of my dog. That's how I roll.

Stupid and Confused

Guys....

I am trying to become a real blogger over here but I am not there yet. I try to pretend that I am somewhat tech savvy since I have been running an online business for four years, but .... sometimes I am not. At all.

I just spend the last four hours trying to figure out how in the &$%#@ do you fix a broken link on a blog. 

Four hours folks.

Then I tried to read up on what all this Google Reader fuss was about. Should I be angry? Sign a petition? Go with Bloglovin'?

While doing that I realized that my 'Follow my blog via email' thingy (technical term) wasn't working and tried to fix that. So if any of you have signed up for my blog posts via email and haven't gotten anything...sorry about that. 

I am sometimes stupid and confused. 

I "think" that it is fixed, but I won't find out until 3-5pm EST tomorrow because that is apparently when my blog is updated?? 

Sigh...I don't know. 

I feel like this right now....

STUPID

CONFUSED

I opened up a package of beads last week from a new supplier to find them wrapped up in  an underwear catalog. This was one of those situations when I literally guffawed out loud. 

Can I just say that normally wrapping your supplies in old lady underwear catalog pages is bad, but in this case, I will definitely be back for more.

Bad Houseguest...

I think that it is just poor manners of your house-guest to require an assisted bath at 10:30pm on a Sunday. 

It's also rude for your own family member to also need an assisted bath at 10:45pm on a Sunday.

That's what happens when you are living with two naughty puppies and they decide to run outside and roll around in poo together for 15 minutes. 

I just don't see the appeal, but I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder. 

High Five For Friday

Happy Friday Everyone!! I am linking up with Lauren at the 'From My Grey Desk' blog to feature five things that I am excited about on this wonderful Friday!

one.

I discovered the most beautiful neighborhood about two miles from where I currently live. In the last 24 hours, I have walked my puppy through it three times and each time I feel all creepy because I am just stopping to stare at all the architure/amazing landscapes. 

It has seriously become my dream neighborhood. I am planning on taking my camera there sometime in the next few days to show you guys how amazing these houses are. 

I saw a 'for sale' sign in the front yard of one and went online once I got home to check it out and gasped at the price tag .... $750,000. 

I told my husband he better be studying really hard for the next month for his law school exams. 

two.

These shoes....

one / two / three

I bought these three shoes online from Target yesterday. Thanks to a gift card from Christmas, a 50% off shoe sale, and free shipping.... all three of these babies only cost me $4.00. 

$4.00 for three pairs of shoes!!!

three. 

My husband found out that he is going to be on the mock trial team for his law school next year. He had the try-outs last weekend and did awesome. They only accepted 16 first year students and him and his bff are two of them. I am pretty darn proud of him.

Since my husband is busy studying for his law school finals, I have complete control over the netflix queue. These came in the mail yesterday...

Oh yeah....I've got big plans this weekend.

five.

The puppy and I have gone into some quite intense training sessions this week and I think we might be making progress. I think I have taught him 'turn-around' (walking around in a circle) and now he can lay down and roll over and speak pretty well. 

Besides being cute, he might actually be somewhat smart too.

Training...

After the marathon of 'Toddlers and Tiaras' I have been watching the past week, I have been inspired to train my puppy more. You know....because pageants and training puppies go hand-in-hand. 

So far this week, we have pretty much mastered sit, down, roll-over and speak. Today we went for a five mile walk to help him learn how to not act like a fool when he is on the leash. 

All this new discipline and learning is wearing him out. 

He is going to be the best pageant puppy ever.
