Stupid and Confused

Guys....

I am trying to become a real blogger over here but I am not there yet. I try to pretend that I am somewhat tech savvy since I have been running an online business for four years, but .... sometimes I am not. At all.

I just spend the last four hours trying to figure out how in the &$%#@ do you fix a broken link on a blog. 

Four hours folks.

Then I tried to read up on what all this Google Reader fuss was about. Should I be angry? Sign a petition? Go with Bloglovin'?

While doing that I realized that my 'Follow my blog via email' thingy (technical term) wasn't working and tried to fix that. So if any of you have signed up for my blog posts via email and haven't gotten anything...sorry about that. 

I am sometimes stupid and confused. 

I "think" that it is fixed, but I won't find out until 3-5pm EST tomorrow because that is apparently when my blog is updated?? 

Sigh...I don't know. 

I feel like this right now....

CONFUSED

I opened up a package of beads last week from a new supplier to find them wrapped up in  an underwear catalog. This was one of those situations when I literally guffawed out loud. 

Can I just say that normally wrapping your supplies in old lady underwear catalog pages is bad, but in this case, I will definitely be back for more.

New Look!

My blog got a little bit of a make-over! 

I have been working hard the past few weeks trying to get my blog in a better state. The whole thing was just too busy before and I wanted something streamlined, where your eyes don't bug out of head when it loads. 

I played with some watercolor paints today for the first time and created the flowers that you see in my logo above. 

I know they are simple, but I am pretty darn proud of them. I had really fallen in love with some floral watercolor paintings/graphic designs lately and I wanted to try to do a few myself. 

Can I also say that I feel like a genius for figuring out how to actually do things in HTML and CSS. 

And also just for figuring out my scanner to upload my flower paintings.

David Bowie Anyone? Anyone?

Let me just say that I have watched Labyrinth more times than quite possibly anyone alive. For whatever reason, I watched that movie at least 100 times as a child. I introduced it to my husband a few months ago, and enjoyed watching him, watching the movie ... jaw-dropped. 

I blame my childhood obsession on Jim Henson. I am sucker for anything with puppets.

Anywho, I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend so far. I just wanted to stop in and write a short post so you all could see my fancy new blog design. I have been working on it the past few days now and I sort of love it.
